Track Your Life One Tweet at a Time with Data

One of the interesting tech trends I have been tracking lately is the rise of tools that let you track your life via real-time data. RescueTime are Nike Plus are just two, but here's a new one that's cool that uses Twitter - it's called your.flowingdata.

All you need to do is follow yfd on Twitter, sign in and then direct message it when you want to log information about your life. Over time the your.flowingdata.com site will provide you with rich charts and graphs. All of it is private - or at least as secure as your Twitter account remains. They launched a new version today that you can learn more about here.

Are any of you using services like these and, if so, how?

thanks for the heads-up. i think i'll give this a try. real-time narratives are an amazing development, but i would like to be able to focus every now and then at a part of this now-ness. real-time, the continuous flow is wonderful, but sometimes i feel there's a lack of the ability to pause (w/o interrupting the conversations) and reflect. would you know where i can find resources for other tools for tracking yor life via real-time data? thanks!

heh.. I built something similar a while ago, 'tweetary.com' ( tweet + diary) which works the same way. You follow tweetary and then direct message it. I have no charting though. I keep it simple :)

I'm doing my own tools for tracking my online life. I'm using embedcode from friendfeed real-time searches & HootSuite Beta keyword searches. See here: http://ff.clipotech.com/ & here: http://www.svartling.net/

Not sure I understand. I can tell what my life is like instantly, through my senses. Then my brain processes them, and I find out what's happening in my life, in real time. While they're offline, I'm sleeping, and I know not much happens then. I can remember what my life was like yesterday, through my memories. What is a service like this doing that I can't do with devices already designed into my body? I'm trying hard not to be sarcastic. The Your.flowingdata site wasn't much help here, and besides, I'd like your (plural) replies.
