My Yahoo Adds Peer-to-Peer Polling

Do you My Yahoo? I still do, occasionally, though I iGoogle more these days. I have been using My Yahoo for over 10 years, but what's great is that they haven't stayed still. Now My Yahoo is getting more social.

Yahoo today added a new social feature that lets you poll your friends right from the personalized page. You can grab it here. Unfortunately, this experience only integrates  with friends within the Yahoo network. You can, however, share a link to your polls. It would be great to see this more seamlessly integrate with Twitter and/or Facebook Connect since that's where people are spending time these days.

I learnt nothing from this. You gave one paragraph of description and some links. Is this the extent of the Steve Rubel Lifestreamingtwitterblogmicroemailpost experiment?

I feel like this application was made for me (and not just because it's a "polling" app. I do this for everything. I drive my friends nuts asking their opinion to get different points of view. I love hashing things out and brainstorming and great brainstorms almost always start with a great "poll" type of question. I can't wait to use this.

I may have gotten ahead of myself. I don't use Yahoo enough, nor do I know anyone who does to make this worth it. I would love to see somebody do this up for Twitter though. Hmm, maybe I will.

Thanks for the heads up. I have also been using MyYahoo for about 10 years and will check it out.

I love the real-time polls that you can do through Facebook and now My Yahoo. Especially with Fan Pages on Facebook, think of all the juicy little demographics and insights you can collect from your fans!
