Google Fast Flip Nearing Launch?

Google Fast Flip appears to be nearing a full integration into Google News. I wasn't able to replicate this in other browsers so right now this appears to just be a cookie test. Stories from Google Fast Flip started appearing at the bottom of my page - even when I logged out of my account.

In addition, Google News searches now show links to Fast Flip results at the bottom of the page. This is visible to all users.

Update 11/16/2009 - Chris from Google News notes in a comment below that this is indeed a test.

Loved Google Flip, it was in beta a while ago i believe. I just checked on my news.google.page (American Ver.) but couldn't find it there. Guess they haven't rolled it out or as you said are testing on different browsers. In any case thanks for sharing the screen, sweet!

Hi Steve, I work with the Google News team. At Google, we run anywhere from 50 to 200 experiments at any given time on our websites all over the world. A few weeks ago we started running a few small ones exploring how we might incorporate results from Fast Flip into Google News. From these tests we hope to learn whether including Fast Flip results in Google News would provide a good experience for users and news publishers. More information about how Google runs experiments can be found here: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/08/search-experiments-large-and-small.html

I've had it in my Google news for about a week now. http://twitpic.com/pwn3l I don't know the full details, but at first glance I don't like that it looks like my ads have been removed and have been replaced with Google's ads.

I had forgotten all about FastFlip...runs a lot smoother and also seems like it has more data... just bookmarked it, thanks for the reminder.

That's a good move from google, the interface is very intuitive and clean, intergrating it google news will probably bring more value to fastflip, otherwise, peoples may just consider it like another gimmick from google and use one time and no more, just focussing on google news and othe news sites. I somehow, can't find it on my german google news version, I'd love to test it with google news.
