I like it, Steve. Nerd question: What is your Twitter setup? Do you actually Tweet from Twitter.com or a 3rd party?

good idea. a lot of curating for sure.. on that note... in my opinion, twitter is a cyberspace of 98% useless information and I don't bother with it much anymore.. furthermore, instead of making lists I have removed people i am not interested in following anymore and the list is getting smaller and smaller.. fyi, same for facebook.. 60% or more of my fb friends are blocked, 90% of fan pages I join i soon after block (out of respect if a friend asked me to join their fan page i do). personally i think this is a trend for most people.. the follow all who follow me is out the door...

these large follow/friend lists are still a novelty for some.. soon it is just another distraction.. i see these networks as aim chat lists were years ago.. to me it's the same thing but more advanced.

Also a good knowledge of how to use #tags especially around PR events and annoucnements.

Can I just say how sad I am that you guys have take over the term "curation"? It used to mean, well, technically it STILL means the collection, preservation, archiving and maintenance of items/assets/stories/visions. But somehow in the last year or two everyone who's in the chit-chat-for-money business has seized it to mean "spam-filtering" or "browsing".

I went from long-term Tweetdeck -> 2 mos Seesmic -> went to Hootsuite and never looked back. Love it.

Not a fan of NutShell Mail. It's a good concept, but it doesn't work so well with Facebook Fan Pages. I find that can be a challenge at times to keep up with who or when someone posts a new comment to a page you manage. Despite me carefully setting up my settings for it, it didn't work out too well. I get 5 emails a day about everything but the pages I manage.

I'm still a fan of TweetDeck, but over a certain number of people I'm following, the feed scrolls too fast. If I want to visit a link or potentially retweet, I click on the poster's name in TweetDeck to open a Firefox tab on their Twitter page. From there, I can retweet in comfort after I've checked the ink--which will already be totally buried in TweetDeck.

What I love about TweetDeck is that I can have one column for people I really want to follow more closely, which is a lot more manageable. I think about 100 of the 2000 people I follow go into that column. I also have special columns, such as the one for mentions of Guerrilla Marketing Goes Green (title of my latest book).

If I were Tweeting from my mobile phone, I wouldn't use TweetDeck, though.
