Why Do We Still Call Them PowerPoint "Slides?"
PowerPoint still remains a big part of my workflow - although when I fly solo I try to rely on the format less by either speaking from notes (as I did at the 140 Conference) or mindmapping (eg TWTRCON).
As decks fly back and forth and the content gets changed, everyone it seems invariably still refers to the individual parts as "slides" as opposed to "frames." The funny thing is though, none of us have used a slide or overhead projector for at least a decade - at least in a business context.
Do you say "frames" or "slides?" I use the former since the latter feels, well, out of date. But that feels like pushing a rock up hill.
